God’s Word tells the Church to care for others both near and far. At The Journey, our goal is to fulfill His commission to impact the world for Christ. Take a look below at the ways The Journey is working to serve others both locally and globally. Perhaps there is a ministry here God is asking you to serve.
Our community has homeless and hungry just like thousands of other cities in the world. At The Journey we are called by God to do our part in ministry to those who are struggling in Fort Wayne. The best path to this goal is through partnerships, here is a list of our local partners as we work together to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of our hurting neighbors.
Frontline workers with children are school teachers. The location of The Journey has us down the street from Washington Center Elementary School. Our congregation has been able to partner with these teachers to simply show them we care through being good neighbors.
Our vision to help children and homeless reaches around the world. The Journey partners with International Childcare Ministries in child sponsorship.
As a part of the Free Methodist Church we fully participate in the missionary outreach of the Free Methodist World Missions. Here is a list of the FMWM missionaries The Journey partners with to reach the lost around the world:
Leonardo and Kay Godoy – Chile
Michael and Maria Long – Greece
Matt and Christine Sauder – Philippines
